Destiny 2: Season Of The Deep

Hey, fellow Guardians! I'm here to share my thoughts on the newest season of Destiny 2: The Season of the Deep. This season is all about diving into the dark secrets of the Taken and their mysterious leader.

There are new activities, new story missions, new exotic quests, and of course, new weapons to collect. But what really caught my eye were the new Taken weapons. These are weapons that have been corrupted by the dark power of the Taken and have some unique perks and abilities. Let me tell you why I think they are awesome and worth grinding for.

Level 01

First of all, the design of these weapons is amazing. They look like they have been twisted and warped by the Taken energy, with glowing cracks and spikes. They also have a distinctive sound and visual effect when you fire them, making them stand out from other weapons. They really feel like you are wielding a piece of the enemy's power against them.

Level 02

Secondly, the perks of these weapons are very interesting and fun to use. Each weapon has a special perk that triggers when you kill a Taken enemy, or an enemy affected by your abilities. For example, the scout rifle, Taken Vision, has a perk called Eye of Savathûn that grants you enhanced radar and highlights enemies through walls for a short time. The shotgun, Taken Fury, has a perk called Wrath of Savathûn that creates a blast of Taken energy around you when you reload after a kill, damaging nearby enemies. The sniper rifle, Taken Whisper, has a perk called Voice of Savathûn that silences and suppresses enemies hit by your shots for a few seconds. And the rocket launcher, Taken Rage, has a perk called Fury of Savathûn that makes your rockets track multiple targets and explode into smaller projectiles on impact.

Level 03

These perks are not only useful in combat, but also add a lot of flavor and personality to the weapons. They make you feel like you are using Savathûn's own tricks against her minions, and sometimes even against her allies. They also create some interesting synergies with your subclasses and other weapons. For example, you can use Taken Vision to spot enemies hiding behind cover and then snipe them with Taken Whisper to shut down their abilities. Or you can use Taken Fury to clear out a group of enemies and then launch a rocket with Taken Rage to finish off any survivors.

Final Boss

The only downside of these weapons is that they are not easy to get. You have to complete a series of challenging quests that involve defeating powerful Taken bosses, collecting rare materials, and completing difficult activities like Nightfalls or Raids. You also have to deal with some RNG elements, as the weapons drop randomly from certain sources. But I think that's part of the appeal of these weapons. They are not meant for everyone. They are meant for those who are willing to go deep into the darkness and face Savathûn herself.

So, if you are looking for some new weapons to spice up your arsenal and challenge yourself in the Season of the Deep, I highly recommend checking out the new Taken weapons. They are fun, powerful, and unique. They will make you feel like a true champion of the Light... or maybe a little bit of the Dark too.
